That which we fear is a suppressed “thought” or “image” we have about ourselves. Wrapped in distrust of our higher self, it is a lie we try to hide because it just might be true. “What if I find I'm a bad or unacceptable human being?” Or something of the sort. I, and others like me, are here to tell you that this fear is based on the belief in a lie you have been taught by a force larger than our little selves but smaller than our Higher Self. And that lie is as self-negating as if we had stabbed ourselves in the heart. This breath work reduces and eventually eliminates self-negating unconscious thought patterns. Lies!

All of us go through an impressive, dramatic change in both body and mind awareness at birth. Doctors, mostly psychologists, have noted that through hypnosis some of their clients remember the birth experience. The birth experience is powerful and painful and certainly dramatic for almost everyone. During this experience we form thought patterns that have lasting impact on our lives. For the majority, it is the most powerful experience they ever have.
And this experience imprints us with every aspect of itself just as if we were minted by it like a coin. And just like a coin there are two sides to the experience. The positive and “lighter” side and the negative or “darker” side. Please note that negative, meaning receptive and ne-gative meaning antagonistic or limiting, sound similar but are very different in meaning. Here we will use the term ne-gative, meaning to block out or limit to the point of exclusion. The “dark” and the “light” are very close to one another and the difference is impossible for us to discern at birth.

Neither are better for to produce one the other must likewise be created. We can have no light without its opposite dark. Our entire worldly reality is composed of this concept of opposing forces, dark and light, left and right, up and down, pleasant and unpleasant, yin and yang and on and on into infinity. In other words, a duality. There is a conflict of dual forces that comes into play which ultimately will need to be resolved before the duality becomes one. The battle between Truth and not Truth. This battle is taking place at all times and we are born into it just as we are born into the rest of the world. This battle takes place within us and without us. The very instant GOD created heaven and earth, the battle began. And though you or another may see this in a different way, the fact remains, there is a struggle for the upper hand between the forces of light and the forces of dark. As long as we accept the paradigm of duality as real, the battle rages on. We are born making every mistake in the book (born into sin as the Bible puts it) and those mistakes must be corrected along the way to heal the rift. To do this efficiently, it is best to start with the biggest mistake we will ever make—believing the first lie: To be one with God we must die. And from that lie all other lies are born. The Truth we are seeking to become aware of here is that we are already One. That is the primary intent of our breath work.

The next biggest lie is more personal and will go something like, “I am not good enough as a woman or man.” Or, “ I am dangerous.” Or, as in my case, “I am wrong.” There are five of these second level lies. The other two are, “I am too much,” and, “I am bad or guilty.” We each choose one of these lies based on our experiences at the moment of birth and the karmic patterns we came into the world to resolve. Some are obvious like, “I am too much,” could come from the awareness that our bodies are very big coming out of our Mother's womb, and it hurts her. We can hear her screaming in pain and possibly saying things like, “this baby is killing me.” Because the convoluted, timeless way our psyche works to help heal us through our belief system, we spend the rest of our lives proving that these lies are true. In other words, we manifest events which justify our beliefs. Countless times the opportunity to make myself wrong in some huge way has occurred in my life. If you think for one minute that your loved ones, friends and family alike, will help you dismember your false belief system just watch what happens when you really see it and point it out to them. Take a long look at Jesus the Christ and think about what he was telling the world around him. Things haven't changed much for the majority.

Because there is a lot of pain for mom and us at birth, these thought patterns are associated with fear and uncertainty. The fear of pain produces instant responses to anticipated events after we arrive here. Just one example of this is the difficulty experienced by an infant while passing through the birth canal being translated throughout life as - “Life is a struggle,” “I must struggle to stay alive,” or even as a feeling of - “Let me out of here,” which surfaces when we are faced with new or stressful situations. After all, twelve or more hours going just one inch in distance through an opening that is a third the size of our head can't help but produce trauma. There are other powerful aspects of our birth that riddle our unconscious with painful and lasting imprints. We address them in private should you care to take the time.

The next big consideration is the pain of being independent. The first breath taken immediately following our birth is a blast of cold dry air pouring into previously untouched lungs, after being slapped on the fanny or leg by a doctor or nurse whose thought projections are rarely about the beauty of GOD and the gift of life. Thoughts like, “What an ugly baby,” or, “why do they always come at 2 AM,” or much worse, permeate our psyche. Our parents, the people who inhabit our environment, along with the world at large, harbor unconscious thought patterns constantly. We are subjected to these from beginning to end. Our freshly exposed sensitive little bodies are then placed in a dry, crisp cloth laid on a stainless steel scale, or vise-versa and maybe placed in our mother's hands and maybe not. Sometimes taken immediately away and placed in isolation where we are prodded and poked to determine if we will live or not, are broken or deformed.
