MOON opposition SATURN
Dark gray Saturn drains the emotional energies of the Moon, making this a rather sad and lonely aspect. You will find it difficult to express your feelings for one another — indeed, you may not be able to muster very much in the way of feelings at all. The more you need warmth, love, and communication, the harder dealing with this relationship will be, because it just won't deliver in those areas. Although as a personal relationship this will be on the frosty side, in a professional one these qualities may serve well, especially in areas such as science experimentation or running a courtroom where emotional detachment is a highly valued quality. There is not necessarily hostility here, though that can grow through resentment on the part of either of you. It is just absence of feelings that come in such small trickles that they don't really merit the name. For certain forms of spiritual practice, where stilling the roiled inner sea of the emotions is a goal, this may give you a head start, so don't write off this relationship entirely. It's a mixed bag, just a little on the down side. If your individual problems previously have featured too much emotional overdrive, this relationship might come into your lives like a cool breeze over the water.

MOON in SECOND HOUSE
You may find that this relationship causes you to develop a considerable value and dependence on the physical trappings of life. When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping may have more than an ephemeral meaning to you. It will certainly heighten romance through its trappings, and not just if you have a gold credit card; for the simple gift of a rose or a box of candy can be colored for you with much greater meaning than it might have to others. Conversely, when it's no longer the thought that counts but the gift, you know you've gone too far! Where this inclination is well-balanced, it can give you a very fine-tuned sense of what things are worth aesthetically and financially, but if gotten out of hand it can make you too dependent on the physical side of things and slaves to your possessions instead of masters of them. On a brighter note, this moon position makes you draw deeply on your inner value systems, the sets of rights and wrongs which you have learned from an early age. To the extent that you are fairly self-aware of what they are and where they come from, will add great reliability and trust to the relationship. Where you have not questioned and tested your values earlier, however, can become a stockpile of prejudice as well, so be discerning. This relationship seeks solid ground at all times and works best when there is something to hang on to.

SATURN in EIGHTH HOUSE
This is a somewhat difficult position financially, particularly as credit becomes the dominant force in economics, as you may find it too difficult to come by when you need it or ignore the implications of how you handle it and therefore not use it to your best advantage. Whether you think you need it or not, it will be good to do what is necessary to maintain a reasonable credit rating if only to get along in the system as it stands. This inclination to simplify also extends to structures and processes of reality that have to do with time and the aging process. You can too easily take for granted that things are as they are because they have always been that way, a sort of “in-the-now” timelessness that can leave you high and dry when the relentless causes that time grinds so fine trip you up because you hadn't bothered to investigate them as they unraveled. This is not so much the result of a devotion to living each moment for itself but a worry about what you might find out if you looked too deep or probed too far. Yet these very things which are so elusive are in a way the bedrock on which you will come to rest in times of difficulty, so it will be well to chase after the unknown and plumb the depths of areas you are inclined to avoid so they do not sneak up on you. Reality is a continuum from which you arose and will return to, and your greatest defense may lie in increasing your knowledge of that fact.
